info wanted on a yamaha 200hp 1997 VMAX

I am looking at buying a used 20" 1997 yamaha 200hp VMAX model P200TLRW It is listed' "LIKE NEW" from a dealer Its for my Hydrostream V-KING which is rigged for a mariner/mercury. Is this a true 200hp and will I need to re-rig it for the hyrdostream?

It is a bass engine that should push the hp envelope.

You will need to re-rig, but it is simple:

Adapters from Mercury to 33c cable for throttle and shifter.

I think Merc throttle is pulling, while Yamaha throttle is pushing - check if your foot throttle supports both.

Gauges and overheat alarm need to be hooked to the corresponding connectors on the Yamaha.
