I'm making the switch from Mercury (200xs ROS) to a ETec 225 H.O. Info Needed

Currently I'm running a Mercury 200xs and would like to switch to a Etec 225 HO like
they run in F.I.M. C3/225 Class in the middle east. But I have a couple questions that
    I'm having trouble finding online.

First: Steering / wing plate - I know the G2 Has built in steering, but I'm looking to get a new (old stock)
2015 225 HO old style - who makes a wing plate? Would my hydraulic ram work off my current set up.
or do you need a longer hydraulic ram?

Lower Unit - I see all the teams in EU run a nose cone, who makes one in the states? Is there a better
lower unit than another, like mercury offers the Sportmaster and consumer?

Engine Torque - I'm unable to find torque numbers online, but I'm sure this engine will make more than
the 200xs, but with less RPM. so new props will be needed.. but, has anyone dynoed a HO and know
where the torque curve is? I'll be racing at a max speed of 85mph

    Thanks in advance -

Are you running a g1 like they do overseas? If so the steering ram will work but the tilt pin will have to be turned down about .040 to fit in the Etec. There is a wingplate for the g1 on eBay right now.

85 will be no problem with the stock case but a bobs cone and a torque tab wouldn't hurt.

    Yes I'm looking at a 2015 Etec G1 225 H.O., I would like the boat UIM legal.
Do they sell a Etec tilt pin? I need one as my current power is most likely being sold complete.

I read about M1 & M2 gear cases last night, is one more desirable than the other? below are a couple pictures
from Dubai last Feb. Not sure if these are Bobs nose cones or not. Also the 3rd picture looks to have something
cut out on the mid, just above the lower.

I get all confused on the 200XS motors. If I'm not mistaken, if you have a MY 2005, that is a Gen1 and should be putting out about 210hp at the prop. I could be mistaken though and the 2005 year could have been the first year of the Gen 2 Opti 2.5 motors. The Gen2's are said to put out about 240hp at the prop. Not sure which you have. As an aside, does your plate really say Muff Diver? I guess you could just back the trailer up to the windows at the local saloon. LMAO.

I was told from the person I bought my 200xs from it made 230-235hp, and it runs like it.
But I would like more torque, and thats why I'm leaning towards a Etec H.O. -

Racing OPA / SBI I'm "bracket racing" and need as much torque as I can to race with
    30ft 800hp singles, or 34ft 600hp twin engine boats.

until I can talk a few more teams into bring boats over and build a low cost spec class..

The plate was a "joke" plate... Cheech & Chong style.. lol

Just thought about gauges, can I run my current Gaffrig set up, or do the motors have a smart craft style screen..

Were you able to get any torque information from the contact in Europe I gave you via pm? In addition to that person, I might have another.
