    2006 optimax 200

Has the 4 beeps alarm every two minutes. when it revs in gear above 3000 it goes to a steady alarm and guardian mode limits rpm. sensor in oil tank replaced no change. What else can cause this? Oil pump appears to be working. Only code found was low oil. temp when running is about 127 degrees.

There are many different faults that will cause the 4 beep alarm, including faulty sensors, low water pressure, low oil level, ... you get the idea. Need to read the ECM with DDT to KNOW what you have.

If the engine mounted oil tank is full and you get the low oil (confirmed) alarm after replacing the sensor, you need to replace the tank...float doesn't work.

You can test it before you go spend money on a new tank..... take a paper clip and jump the circuit at the connector for the tank and run it.... if it don't beep, float in the tank is the problem. Whenever we get one in, we don't even bother trying just the sender, we just replace the whole tank...... in fact, the sender hardly ever fails.

Thanks guys I'll try that. I was running motor while on laptop and the oil code was only one throwed. Tank was full and oil pump primed. Was going to try jumping the circuit today noticed it worked off continutiy in the service manual.

Seems 10 yrs is the magic number for the floats. Easy fix, but not cheap.
