22' 1988 Apache Scout - Rub Rail Question

I owe a 22 Apache scout and looking for rub rail options. I removed the old black rub rail and to replace it with a white one once the boat was wet sanded, compounded, polished and waxed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Vince

Taco Metals supplied the black ridged vinyl rubrail that went on your boat. They're #0845. (they never made it in white, as it would yellow terribly) They don't list it any longer...but give them a call to verify for sure, or if they know of anyone else that would. Back then, a couple others plastics companies extruded the same shape rail, but it seems to have become a non-seller. It was also produced in a nice anodized aluminum back in the day, and was widely used by Chris*Craft on their sportboats & fish boats. It was basically used on any boat that had a crappy shoebox hull to deck fit, as it covered this well. Because of this poor deck fit, you will find it difficult to find another rail shape that will lay flat & not twist as you tighten the screws. Good luck in your search.
