Turned the big six-oh today
Hit 60 today, but a friend told me I didn't look a day over 59.
Here's a card my daughter sent me to help blow out the candles.

Its just a number and zero rules but simple getting "old", is mandatory. Growing up? That always a "option" and I aint going there just yet!"
Plus ya got an excuse to steal books?

Congrats and HAPPY B DAY!
You're 4 ahead of me.
I'm also one that's lived my life on the belief that it's just a number.
Last weekend we went to my parents 74th anniversary party, dad 94 and mom 95.
So really, what is 60?
Loved the card too.
Have a great evening and enjoy yourself.
GaryI'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Damn right "just a number"! Thing is after 60 its simple "uncharted territory"!
Heck, start hanging with the old folks in the middles 70's and beyond and they will still call ya a "kid". I got neighbors middle 70's and still go RVing across street. Next door 75, summer house here, then Yuma winter and maintains 2 houses. Good friend mine here is 73 and a real character and 2 boats still. My BIL is 91, sis 78, bro 75, parents went into the 80's and partied the butts off "till "gave up". My Aunt passed just short here 100th BDay!
So at 65 me? Yep, ya gonna slow down in life, gravity increases, chit gets heavy, ya fall down ya don't bounce up like ya use too but?
OK to "slow up", just never "give up"!
I hate it when I hear some say.."If I knew I was gonna live this long, I would have taken better care of myself?"
BS! Had I known I was gonna live this long? "I would have REALLY partied my ass off!...(and did anyway!). Older age me is simple learning a new way of life, slower, and that porch rocker "looking at my boats", aint so bad after all!
