3.0 Litre 20" Driveshaft/Exhaust Housing Question
Can you bolt up a 300xs power head to any year 3.0litre driveshaft/exhaust housing? I've done some research and found some people say you can other say it has to be newer model housing. Thanks!

Anything can be made to work but of course it will not be the best for multiple reasons. The main difference is the first few years the exhaust plate and tuners. They were different in the water passage and the tuners are smaller more restrictive. As for the newer models and using converting and efi to be used for a dfi powerhead it can be done to work if you know where to pick up water to cool the compressor.
Now if your just asking about the driveshaft housing and not a complete mid with tuner plate that's easy. Just use the correct exhaust plate and bolt up a hydrotech or DBR tuner all problems solved.

Yes you can.
The biggest issue is using a can from a pre 1996 or 97' and trying to put a factory tuner and plate in it from a later model.
