Barnes brown 24 skater ran just under 100 mph with twin 1989 225 loopers.

    This superboat (Australian) runs 120+

I'm looking to get one soon. It seems like 220-240 hp a side gets the 24 skaters near 100 with some setup. I'm planning on having 250-270 a side on 87 and shooting for 5mpg at cruise. I guess only time will tell.

My 24 Skater with twin 2005 200 Opti's could barely get out of the hop before hitting the rev limiter around 85-87mph. You either need really good setup or go with 300xs if you want to be safe. 300xs should put you around 105ish. Remember the rev limiters on the opti's aren't that high.

my 22 daytona is way heavier than a 24 skater. daytona also has a center pod and small tunnels. it runs 105 most days and has been 108 w/300xs motors. i think a 24 skater would be at least a 115 mph boat w/300xs power.
