Dual cylinder hydraulic vs single cylinder on a single engine application
For the sake of argument, lets just assume that the single ram is double the displacement and force of the dual rams. Same helm, therefore, same turns lock to lock and same force at the ram itself.
What are some benefits (or downfalls) to running something similar to the old Hynautic dual ram setup VS the marine machine/latham setup in this case?> Stainless steel Merc cowling plates - $110 shipped TYD - LINK <

Seems like the dual Rams could be loaded against each other for zero play vs a very small amount of play in the single ram linkage.

I don't think that the hynautic systems were junk, just more complicated and more parts then necessary compared to the modern stuff.
