ID:	333226Well the phone and I do not like one another well enough to post pics. I finally finished the sanding and got to lay down the 1st coat of primer yesterday. I believe this thing will get finished alot quicker now. Thanks to you fellows I have learned alot from doing this enough so that I don't want to do it again. So lets see if I can post some pics now so you don't have to stand on your head. LOL

Just found this thread....very nice upgrade to the bottom.

Only thing I would add is if you could have run the last 3'-4' to a more flat surface for even more lift and speed at WOT.

At first that was the consideration that I had thought of doing. but afterwards chose the v-shape thinking that the hanlding capibilities would be better in that form. The total width of the original pad was around 17" and was a little flatter. I have increased the height of the pad by 1 3/4" and have made the sides of the new pad and 1st set of strakes to have a slight w effect thinking the added height should allow for more lift and be able to run flatter instead of nose high, if nothing more I will have either done something good or bad but it is what I have now and hopefully be suprised to any performance gains. I do have a hefty goal to break but in the long run I am just ready to flip this baby spray the top side put back together and wet a line for a while. You guys will definitly hear the results of it as well as video of it when it's all done.

Hey man! How's this beast coming along? Sorry, been out of pocket. Just started a little Bayou Boyz/DSRA racing with a bud of mine (90 5.0 - Bullet) so we've had our hands full recently. How are things? you got this beast flipped over yet?

Not yet, can't seem to make the weather cooperate. Its mostly done but I need to finish a couple coats of gel then buff. It's been killing me to get this thing back going and chasing down a few of those non cookie cutters, I'm spraying the top also and may just send it off and have completed. Figured I'd be incognto and get to hurt some of the same peoples feelings again.LOL

Between my health and poor weather, I was able to finish the bottom but in a hurry didn't get the pics shot, Carried to Arkansas to have the top of the boat redone and should be getting it back mid march, Can't hardly wait as this has been a project that has taken nuch longer than I had anticipated. As soon as I recieve it back get her home and rig the boat I will be diffently posting pics gallore on it as well as what the pad change did or didn't do as quickly as I can. May endure a short amount of set time to get comfortable back in it at speed. Will post up some results soon I hope. Thanks, Buddy
