Talcum powder before the grinding, cold shower after it. This was my schedule when I had a glass shop for 20 yrs. It helps some. Good fan to blow the dust downstream is good too. Over the years I got sensitized to all the chemicals and glass dust. Had to give it up to keep healthy. Liked the work tho...

I have not complained when working outside on a breezy day. Suit on and airhose in hand, blast the dust piles as they form and the wind just takes it away. This just left less of the dust to permeate my suit. I am sure the critters in the woods may not have been happy.

Might use a lil thickened gell to fill any deep scratches and bigger pin holes. Just spot sand this filler some. Apply a heavy coat of primer and go around looking for pin holes. If some are found take some primer and fill them using a broom straw or something like that. Then shoot the remaining coats to get the build up you need. I hate filling pin moles after doing the primer.. I use the primer mix right as it comes out of the can. Use a 2.0 gun tip or bigger.

Well I can say after several months of bad days and more sanding than I can have imagined this job is very close to being completed. I have a gallon of duratech primer and mek catalyst, I ordered a gallon of black gel from Stratos to match the color already on the bottom as not all of it is having to br sprayed, the question I have will be what additives do I need to add to gel such as styrne and wax, I am going to call Startos back this morning to find out what gel they use if they will tell me and go from there. Thanks for any help.
