Gellcote is far more durable than any paint. But it is a lot of work. I did the hull on my stream with gell, and the deck with Imron. It is easier to recoat epoxy with paint/primer than gell by a wide margin.

Guys, I really want to thank all of you for the information you have shared. I am in the process of sanding and filling, finding this to be a hell of a lot of work and with the heat it doesn't make it much fun after work to sand and fill to make the surface like I want it. but in the end I feel I will have accomplished something great. We will see short enough. Have plenty of work on the topside as well when she gets flipped back over so I will be here posting for a while.

Oh man, the only pics I could post right now would be of the sweat rags and sandpaper. really getting everything flat as possible then will be building up low spots and fiberglassing in the composites. they have been buttered and screwed into place, but this heat after work in the evenings is kicking my Butt.

I have tried to get up, but it has been working out better starting on it around 6;30 and I am soaked by 7:00, really hoping to have this ready to prime by the weekend and gel first of the week. I do although have a little Cancer that I battle with and sometimes the treatments don't allow for to much work. Chemo Sucks, but I Thank God for the everyday that he allows me to wake up. I am using the design that you created and it looks good, 10" wide pad with 3 1/2" step up from the old pad. Looks like it might be a handful to drive a speed but that is what makes them fun.

Oh, I knew I have seen you posts early in the morning. Yah are on a difficult part of life at this time. Nice thing is you get to survive the cancer.
I am dealing with far less issues with a variety of Diabetes pills the latest of which gives me flu like symptoms. To me they are stupid pills since they make me stupid. That and in one month I am in surgery for a pretty intensive shoulder reconstruction. The snow will be coming down up here before I can do much of anything but I am look forward to the chance of reduced pain and maybe the use of both arms again.

They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, I don't know but it does make you appreciate a heck of a lot more. hope your surgery goes well and you able to get in a few more runs in before you get snowed in. I am looking forward to getting this thing back together and I have a lot of work to do. will be respraying the upper cap and installing new carpet as well when she is flipped back over. Then 100 mph. I don't know but I not to far away now so we'll see.

That is the bad part of getting old for sure, But these children effected and battling these diagnosis are my hero's, Can only hope that I am the last person I know that ever has to deal with this. It definetly is eye opening.

Talking about your cancer. If you want to believe a total stranger you might give this a try. I have seen it first hand on a customer of mine.It cured her Melanoma. Vitamin B-17. You have to order it out of Mexico as it is no longer available here in the USA. It comes in a pill form and about three a day to begin for a couple of months then down to about two a day for a month and then one a day for life. The Feds will stop anything that works as there is too much money to be made by treating it rather than curing it. Also get yourself about five pounds of apricot kernels and eat about eight to ten a day. They are about the size of an almond. A little bitter in the beginning but you will get used to it. There are places in the world where cancer has never been seen, south american jungles where fruits are full of B-17. If you need information on where to get this send me an e-mail and I will get you the websites. When you know where to look there is so much information that this stuff KILLS and PREVENTS cancer it will make you cry.

GOD BLESS AND HANG IN THERE. CARTER POWELL
