Not sure how that would run on my motor, not much experience with this motor. Anyone run one on a v4 hydrostream?

I tried a 27 Ron Hill Hoss copy on my 115 HO Etec/16 Baja and it was a great prop - just a bit too much pitch. You could try buying a Hill prop. Why do you want solid hub?

Cleavers run good for top speed, but probably not much else.

1000 foot drag races. I was told to find one of those. 30 cleaver and 26 chopper no good. 23 srx nice but runs out on top end.

They never made a 27 SRX with a 13-spline hub. Only 15-spline, for V6 applications. You would have to buy a V6 27 SRX and rehub it with a V4 hub. The blades will also have to be cut down to 14" diameter to fit under the AV plate without hitting it. That is not the best prop for your V4 for any application, let alone drag racing. A 14x24 or 26 Yamaha sport cleaver would work best. These are 14" diameter so would fit, but would have to be rehubbed for your V4. The only 27" pitch wheel OMC ever made in a 13 spline version for V4 application is a 13-1/2" x 27" cleaver, which is not a drag propeller at all.

IMO the 23 srx is a great 1000' drag prop. I wouldn't focus to much on your speed as much as the ET. I agree with JWTjr a 27 is gonna be to tall for drags but probably a good one for Three Lakes Shoot Out.

Are you coming up to our Pelican Lake Race??? Sounds like we are gonna have a good amount of boats for your class. We will have the course in Fri so you can do some testing.

Thanks for the info. Will see what I can find. But will wined out the 23 next weekend and see what happens.

It is possible that a 13 spline 27 SRX has never existed. The hub size is different and an extreme amount of work would need to be done to make it work. However, you can put a 13 spline V4 hub in most mercury propellers.

[QUOTE=FlowMaxx;2772137]It is possible that a 13 spline 27 SRX has never existed.

JT: It is not only possible, it is a fact. The 25, 27 and 29 pitch SRXs were only made in a V6 version. The 23 was the only SRX made for the V4, with a 13 spline hub.

The hub size is different and an extreme amount of work would need to be done to make it work. However, you can put a 13 spline V4 hub in most mercury propellers.[

JT: I have installed a V4 hub in a 25 and 27 SRX. It will work. But as noted, these are not the right props for V4s. The blades on the 25 will swing under the AV plate, as they are only 14" diameter. As noted, the 27 will have to be cut down. But the real problem is that the blade area is too large for a stock or even mildly modified V4 crossflow to spin. A more powerful loop V4 is another story.

Yes, the factory never made 25, 27 or 29 V4 13 spline SRX. I was under the understanding that there is no 13 spline hub that would for conversion because the ID is different on the V6 OMC. Is there some special hub to use to make it 13 spline? Years ago, I asked DAH about this and his answer was no. They had machined a special insert into a 29 to make a standard v4 hub fit. I could make good use of a 25 if I could find one and convert it.

I used an aluminum reducer sleeve in the SRX hub barrel to get the V4 hub to fit snugly.
