    Timing 2.5 200 Pre 2000 XRI configuration

When I had my idle stabilizer removed my "by the book" mechanic stated that mercury only recommends 21 degrees static timing when modules are removed. My motor was set with the index cylinders ranging from 20-22degress of timing. How much WOT speed is being left on the table? If it is only hurting mid-range holeshot a little I am fine with it as is....If I am going to lose 3-5 mph I needs to get it bumped a bit.

I'd set it at 23-24. Best of both worlds
