Please help!!! Promax 300 no spark!
I have no spark on two cylinders. upper and lower right hand side seen from behind.
switched the coils and they seems to be in order.
Any suggestions?
The motor has been under water but ran ok after flushing except one spark plug seems to never had a single fire. looks brand new. only fuel recidue.
Thanks.

Could be your stator, Shaun Torrente on here probably has a used one he might be willing to part with.

CDI electronics has a great free troubleshooting guide.

300PM has a separate ECU for the ignition? I would check the wiring harness from the (upper) ECU to the coils for corrosion or contamination if it was wet.

+1 for Sparkleboat.... I hadn't seen that before either.

you will need a compression gauge, a spark gap tester and a good multi meter and a DVA adapter or a DVA meter. you can google these items and get them all to your door for under $100. great tools. and CDI provides great customer support, I just wish that their parts were a little more dependable.

this one will work with your fluke. http://www.tooldiscounter.com/ItemDi...FZA8gQodlVIAUA
this is a spark gap tester, http://www.amazon.com/AMPRO-T71240-E.../dp/B00A8FO87S
you can make your own. they even have ones that test every cylinder at once, which is better on the newer motors because you need every plug wire grounded or it could cause problems. here is one for up to 8 cylinders, you can make your own one of these as well if you want.

Update:
today i used a strobe to check the spark while running.
on idle there i no spark on cyl 2 & 6 but when i rev it to about 2000rpm cylinder 6 kicks in too. Cyl 2 is completely dead. I took out the stator and used my fluke to check the resistance on each wire/spool (the six separate coils on the stator itself)
