    Kill Switch Question

I know this has been discussed here before, I am looking for a kill switch that maintains continuity when the lanyard is attached I know they are made both ways but is difficult to find by description does anyone have a part number or specific application?
    Thanks

You need a universal kill switch, stern drives and outboards work the opposite way. Universal will give you the option of . Think most Merc lanyards allow for both.

You want a switch for "coil type ignition". The switch for the magneto ignitions will keep the circuit open with the lanyard attached.

Do either of you know of an application or have a part number of a mercury kill switch that will work?

I bought a dual engine kit on ebay mercury part number 87 19674a12 the gas engine install instructions say it will work in a normally closed position but from what I can tell might need a relay to work.

The kill switch sold at West Marine works either way. There is a cover and a switch - the unit is symmetrical - the orientation of the cover to the switch determines which way it works.
