2.4 200 running rich...
years ago, I bought a used 200 2.4 from Florida. It's been a great engine. I am about 500 feet above sea level and figured jetting would be the same.
the only thing done to engine besides normal tune up and carb kits are Chris Carson reeds.
my issue was noted last summer after spending a week at a lake house and boating all week long...everyday.
when I got home and pulled the plugs, ALL were wet....very wet.
I bought marina alcohol free gasoline.
so...what's my first course of action and further troubleshooting after that?
This explains my idle quantity.
Engine runs well...very well, but know it could be better off the line and idle quality.Best regards,
David

If your positive the carbs have been done correctly and float levels are good start with a full link and sync. If the link and sync is not done right can cause all kinds of trouble including rich at lower rpm.

finally getting back to this...EVERY FLOAT was adjusted too high and will lake test soon. I put new needles and seats in years ago along with carb kit and didn't mess with float setting. What a mistake. Cannot wait to try it out.
