Hey Guys
I contacted Brucato, and purchased a digital ACU. And now I have it on my table. Looking forward to put it on.

Its my understanding when converting to a digital ecu and using the analog harness, you need to hook the blue and orange wire together from the tpi plug. And to leave the tan wire tied back.

With the PCU, I think I just plugged it in.

Hey Markus,
I think that your right, and the same goes for the ACU.

Mounted the Brucato ACU and now it seams to start every time. Want to see if it just fires up after it has been sitting there fore a day or so. Checked TDC with dial-gauge that I purchased for JSRE some years ago.
Re-timed I according to digital ecu settings.
idle advance +2dg (to be within 0 to +2degree)
Wot +25dg
Original setting with ECU BOX 11350A15 according to service manual should be, and was set as follows
idle advance 8dg ATDC
Wot +25dg
Come to think about it if the timing description for analog (a15) box is correct as mentioned above. Or that actually could be some of the hickups.
Well I am not Building it back just for finding out. The Brucato seams to Work fine and with less smoke as well.
Anyone have experince with A15 box and the timing mentioned above?
On the connection rod to the trottle I have seen some engines with a slider. Mine do not have such, do i need it? And if so how to adjust it?

Timing should not depend on ECU, so one of them has to be wrong, unless the open throttle (see below) requires more advance, and engines with A15 ECUs came without the slider, but I am just speculating.
The slider allows timing to advance before the butterfly opens. When in gear, you can hear the engine running a little rougher when the butterfly starts to open. I thought all 260s had a slider, but maybe the early ones didn't...Markus' Performance Boating Links:

Markus,
I have here attached some pages from the service manual. it describes a seperate procedure for the A15 box, so that was what i followed. For me it seams to be so that primary pickup (idle timing) is pre-set and hereafter the idle is fine tuned. And then on the note: page 2C-9 says that idle pickup timing must be readjusted. So this Means while opening the butterfly to get the opertune rpms. the pickup timing point is changed and ned readjusting according to note. So may be this just make Things worse each time I readjust. I have actually tried to get a slider, however it seams to be no longer available. But I can make one my self if just I can find out how long the sliding movement is.
Maybe the one on my engine is not original, I dont know.

Regarding the slider, do anyone know at what advance timing point the throttle butterfly should start opening?
