Can I get some 2.4 Feedback?
I lost a few holes today...
Using Klotz with Premium fuel, High Five prop turning 6200 rpm on the high side... she let go while cruising nice at 40 mph at 4000 rpm.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Here is the Google Drive with the images.

I'm no expert, but if the cylinders and pistons are somewhat oily yet I would guess overheated.

What's imprinted in the top of the piston... looks too "square" to be a ring retaining pin or a needle bearing? Almost looks like the ground strap from a spark plug?

It has surface gap plugs... motor had plenty of water pressure and was not hot. I will pull the front half next week.

What do the heads look like? Snap a pic of them too? Did she seize or smoke the rings?

Motor lost power but can be turned by hand and restarted... I elected not to push it so I immediately shut it down, got a tow back to the trailer and pulled the heads. The heads look clean save for one little ding by the tiny square object. They'll be easy to clean up. I'll take a pic of the heads tomorrow.IDavid "Tango" Wilks

Are those pics representing 3 holes or 2.

Since the port side seems to be the issue I might consider the switch boxes. Looks like some early stage detonation on the piston without the square dents. JMO>

Man. this is like pulling teeth.
You might poke/pull it out and see if you can figure out what it is and where it came from, it might give you a pretty good idea how expensive it will be to fix.
