If this is a regular outboard, not high performance, there is an adjustable trim tab sticking down from your cavitation plate that counteracts torque. If high performance, trim tab is out of the water and possibly removed to clear a high performance prop, then there are tabs that can be attached to the trailing edge of your skeg to do the same thing.
    Per Rock:

"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."

    Per my hero Instigator:

"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

Some of the boys who race inflatable Super Lite Tunnel hulls use a external piston steering dampener on there tiller motors. Might want to start a thread asking them for info if you are runnin a surfacing prop. I am interested in them also. Gary

If we are talking about an engine with tiller handle, there is really only one way to go and that is hydraulic steering. Some details about your set up would help provide some definite answers.

I'd try a skeg tab first as cheapest and easiest. Or check this out.

Gary, reason I had to chime in this was I had wicked TS on a 13 ft SUPER light composite skiff with a 25hp Johnny. But I'll get to that soon post as got some house puter pix it.

But on MC "dampers" mentioned?..(NOT stabilizers) thing is to me..(and probably why still alive) Do NOT think something made for something else will "hold my beer, watch this" work? When it comes to steering a MC, or a boat, ya REALLY gotta think it out. Your LIFE is on the line. I have twin steering dampers my dragbike. Adjustable to a point that full "in"? Takes 10 seconds lock to lock and thats not much as its built for straight line and lean over finish to turn. Gotta find that sweet spot to counteract "Head Shake", "bar slapper". Thing. SCARY!

But they are designed for at even full in will still have a couple inches front wheel free play as simple as thats how a motorcycle stays up right as NEED slight "oscillation" front wheel which you can't feel, but try riding with tight neck bearings! OR a bad roller in the neck will have ya going side to side road. Anyway, heres a pix the DB dampers. on the boat mine in a bit...

Stole my thunder dude! Had the tab at 45 degrees and had two HD bungees..(not the black ones) looped to side hooks off the pick it up handle. Big 1/2 inch ones. Then slammed a 2/3 ft PVC pipe the tapered rubber twist Throt.

Always got a "thumbs up" out the bay, as feet over the side crossed, leaning back, beer in one hand, extended tiller the other. Reason most the bungee thing was the doing something motor to center and take off and NOT me tossed out, come back at me and soon? "Fish bait"!
