Joe at DBR supplied the Wayne Talor 15" 3.0 mids for me (did a beautiful job doing all the finish work and powder coat required to make them look "factory") and the sets of 300X pans/cowls. I used the transom assemblies, swivel brackets and steering from the 2.5/ROS that were on my 28 when I bought it. We had to replace the rods in the steering cylinders, as the length changed running 3.0 wingplates/mids with 2.5/ROS transom assemblies/swivel brackets. And definitely give Dewald a call, not only do their props work great, but they're great guys to deal with.

Yes, both of those items are to quiet down the compressor noise with the open X cowls that I'm running. The small K&N breather is for the intake, while the large compressor muffler is for the exhaust. Because I'm running the DBR tuner, the compressor exhaust hose has to vent to open atmosphere, not down into the exhaust can as the stock tuner does. With both of these items installed, you can't even hear the compressors at idle! They sound just like 300X motors - but with open exhaust like a 2.5/ROS. They still don't sound near as cool as my Diamond 2.5s did though - nothing matches the sound of the rowdy idle and screaming top-end of a pair of 330 hp Diamond 2.5s!

Rayzor, I give you the world of credit for putting the time, money, and patience dialing in your boat a different way. More then that I think even more of you for sharing all your hard work with the world. Most guys wouldn't want their secrets out. Thanks for sharing and keep us updated. I'd like to say I want to be first in line when this boat goes up for sale.

They were 51", same as my 28. Dale gave me a lot of help with my boat when it was new in 2013. Thanks again, Dale.
