V200 Carb Lines? Rusted on fuel sender cap....

    Hey guys,

Getting ready to pull off all 3 WH-11's off my 1980 V-200 to rebuild. Was curious about the lines running from the fuel pump to the carbs, I pulled them as they were dry rotten and leaking. Looked them up to order and they seemed a bit spendy, noticed one of them had a spring coil wound inside of it, I assume to prevent the short line running to the middle carb from kinking.
My question is what size are they and is there a cheaper or better alternative than ordering from Mercury.

Also have a fuel level sender unit/cap that is completely rusted on to the fuel tank in my Sanger. Want to replace before the season but all the nuts are rusted on. Any tips to remove? I'd love to grind them out but obviously not excited about the sparks and heat on the fuel tank. The tanks empty right now and has been vented for a week or so.....

Thanks! I look forward to the input!

Tie carbs together with a common rail and feed rail where convenient. Fill tank with water then remove bolts. Good luck.

I replaced all of my lines too with ethanol rated automotive line. I think it may have been 3/16" or something. Can try to look. Got it at AZone and used zip tie at each end.

Put navel jelly on the rusted nuts and follow directions. That stuff is gold. Or try PB blaster every day for a week.

Good idea on filling tank with water.

Hey buddy. I just checked my fuel lines this morning on my V200 and they are quarter inch ID, low permeability, US Coast Guard approved hose. I got it at West Marine. Did not get it at AutoZone. Hope this helps.
