    Lets talk Yamaha's

I have a Action with a 99 Yamaha Vmax 200. Stock motor with carbon reeds. I was told my boat would go 85mph from the previous owner. I was turning a 26p prop at 6300 when I got the boat. In my research and advice from many S&F members and the Facebook page "High Performance Boating" I raised my motor up and experimented with props. I now have a 32p drag 4, which I love! Ive only turned it 5700 at 88.9 and I don't have to touch the wheel. Super stable. Im told if I want to go fast I need a Merc. I guess my goal in the end is to have a 200xs, but for now I love this Yamaha! It runs extremely well. Surprising responsive for a carbureted motor. I think if I spend any money it will be with Hydro-tec before I go with a Merc. Im reaching out to other Yamaha owners and your thoughts on them.
