Mate, just get it crated and share a container. Do the math, you might be pleasantly surprised.

V8 two stroke, no more cool than these.

at $3500 + a$3500 for a MONTY powerhead = $7000 for a 400hp fire breathing monster still cheaper than a used 300x with no warranty...and you get the WOW factor for free....

My fire breathing, fully rebuilt (open chequebook rebuild) and modded monster @400hp (not dynoed) owes me in total $NZ14,500. This was build by NZs equivalent to Monty. This cost includes engine purchase etc etc, is a total cost. And I am still to blow smoke through this engine. I never new I possessed such patients.....

From what I could remember and wrote down.

    Wisco pistons.
    Block bored and decked.
Ports modified as per Etec ports, finger ported and port matched. Porting included the removal of port bridges.
Carburettor plennem replaced with one off 3.6 litre.
25 inch mid spliced with 20 inch Offshore mid to give 25 inch offshore mid with offshore exhaust.
Exhaust tuner modified to give better exhaust breathing and venting via offshore snout.
Engine bracket/trim/tilt changed for faster, stronger late model one.
Gearbox changed to last of model box. Internally the box is like new. Owen replaced shaft seals.
    Reeds changed.
Gearbox has new waterpump and shaft seals.

I understand that there was some other "stuff" which I am not privy to.

    Still yet to be started!!!!!!!
