Mercury Pro XB-250 cylinder heads...
What is the difference between the XB250 heads vs the stock 3.0L 225/250 heads?

Biggest difference is the block and porting.

Can the stock 225/250 heads be interchanged with the Pro XB 250??

Early style 225/250/300pm is real close in Port timing. If you put 250xB heads on a stock 225/250 you will gain a little compression. The main difference between the 250 xb and all the rest of the older efi blocks is they removed the compression relief slot (cat eye).
What you should really be looking for is a set of c10 300pm heads. They would end up putting you in the 130 lb range.
