Steel bore 260
Pro max block with one hole that can clean up at 20 over. Is a steel bore 260 worth the added expense of a new sleeve, porting to 260 specs, forged pistons, bore clearancing for the forged pistons, and ECM/PCU purchase? I guess I'm asking is the added performance gonna be worth the dollar amount over a build using the stock pro max porting and top pin cast pistons? Thank you.

That's a question only you can answer. But IMO fix it and leave it be! If you want a 260/280 sell the promax and buy the real thing.

what piston at .020??only .020 r wiesco or wsm , Sizeco's dont work out to well in Merc's I personally will not buy forged piston for a steel sleeve motor they required way to much added clearence due to swelling , go .030 and buy Vertex get the real thing you will be much happier

I've got a set of 30 over vertex if I go back stock. If I go 260 porting I was gonna have to pony up for wizards
