Just bought a 2003 and I have the same old question
Theres probably 5 Allisons in the states of Oregon and Washington and I just bought one. 1996 XB2003 pro sport tounrney. $6k for the hull minus the motor. Actually I bought the 260 off the same boat a few years ago for $4K so I suppose I bought the whole boat for 10 K .
Anyway , got the same old question that pops up all the time I'm sure. How do you convert it to center steer?

Contact the Allison factory, they will answer your questions all of them.
As for props ran an 02 et ran fastest ,4 blade gave better handling,as for price you did well, suspect its not as much in demand there,Tn theres one for 12 k without a motor for sale

Congrats on the purchase. Is that dark blue or black? Looks nice. 260 should make her fly.

Its light blue, black and grey. Only one Ive seen with that color combination. Some of the more flamboyant Allison color combo's arent really to my liking so I'm glad this one popped up .

Its cable for now. We'l see how much I like that. It may get changed to hydro. Ive gotten kind of used to hydraulic steering.

If ya gonna move it ya might as well get tha hyd. Cables are real hard ta find. Don't think one of 'em will be long enough ta move ta center...They didn't have "much extra" from production. Do some serious measurin' 'fore ya start takin' junk out.....

That's a neat ride there, I wondered what happened to it. I haven't seen it online in years.

Its probably like my ex wife. I'm sure everyone's had her once or twice. Looks like it started out in Texas. Guy I got it from is also a forum member here. He got it in Santa Cruz CA in 2010 or so. Nice looking boat. Surprises me that Allison doesn't do more of the darker color combinations. Bright colors must be popular in the bass crowd. Its going to be more of a speed and camping rig now. Not a lot of bass here or at least not enough to support much of a tournament base. Small mouth don't mount well anyway.
