3 liter sport master ratcheting case
Is there anyone out there that does this mod..or is it even possible..And what's the cost..Thanks

you mean make a ratcheting case out of the lock up type?? Not gonna be cost effective on a 3.0 as you''ll need a new gear set and clutch dog. You'll have to use your pinion as the newer SportMasters for 3.0 have a different pinion spline... But we can do it...Good old Mercury has you by the ba!!'$

It ratchets through the linkage a bit but yes it ratchets. Works fine we have tested it to 8k every weekend

You CAN just change the clutch dog but you get a lot of metal wear in the case. Best to at least machine your gears along with the changed clutch dog to eliminate more problems. Some of the early gears will work either way

i have over 400 hours on mine with no issues
