    Okay so would an early 70's Dutchman be period correct with a PAIR of in line Mercs on it?

    maybe a pair of 1500's?

    It is not possible. The exhaust chests are different starting in 1972.

    last stackers out of the factory were 1250 SBP. their block and exhaust cavity is smaller than the 1500 so those stacks and inserts wont fit. unless someone custom made something along the way...

    Pretty sure the guy who made ours could do it, but he would need a pattern to work off of.

    I understand Dutchman tunnels were built through the early 70's. No one has provided a year they stopped or went out of business. Got a pair of 1973 1500 shorty's I am looking to do something with. Even got a pair of SSM RH and LH looking for a job......

    Tom I think you'd be better off putting twins on the Missle if you wanted to do one with twins. I can get you together with one or two guys who ran them. CadillacClick image for larger version.

    Hey Caddy- I thought about that. In my mind either one iis a deathtrap to me. just a thought. I really plan on the 1100 stacker on the Dutchman for th efirst go round at least.

    PS...the guy I sold it to in NH...sank it doing high speed figure eights in his lake, twisted transon off...they turn on a dime, but alot of side pressure on that ole boat, even with a 1/4 in allum plate across the whole transom...sank in 40 foot of COLD water...his neighbors were happy they didn't get to hear it's open exhaust at 6:00 in the morning anymore...loved that boat...
