United States Coast Guard hull numbers were not required by law until November 1st, 1972. Prior to this, any numbers/letters(if any at all) where placed on a boat just about anywhere, and were there purely for the record count for the manufacturers purposes only. For the record, Bill Blough Dutchmans last year of production was 1972.
I haven't started to take it apart yet as I am still working on my current project. Lets just say there definitely is no transom number and no id plate or other visible markings anywhere in the cockpit area. It does have shadows in the gel coat of Ohio Registration numbers on it and a 1974 and a1975 ohio sticker still on it.

If I am not mistaken, a local boat shop splashed this hull, [ Dutchman ] Last I heard he still has the molds and builds them as you would like, light, heavy, whatever. I also have been in one with a black V-6 , wow somewhat scary, but with this long time owner, I still felt safe. Had plenty of rides in a Magnum Missile with a inline Twister 1 and a speedmaster, seemed like the perfect match! Loved those early tunnels!!!!!

Wrangled boats used to have molds. I picked them up and a friend of mine has them now

Johnny was somehow involved with Bob and BillieSue Boalick on that boat. They all drove the boat and I think BillieSue blew it over at the stadium. She survived the accident ok but shortly afterward died of pancreatitis.
