1973 viper & omc stinger gp
FOR THOSE WHO KNOW THE BOAT IT WAS RIVERMANS, THIS WAS HIS POST.
1973 Hydrostream Viper (non wedged hull)
Boat has been recored with balsa (vacuum bagged) Dow Derekane 8084 vinylester and iso polyester resins and re-gelled in white. Bottom has been blueprinted.
Seastar Pro steering with bulkhead fittings thru splashwell, tach, Garmin GPS, blinker style trim. Rexmarine shifter, WP, volt and trim guages, on custom made carbon fibre console. Rigged centre steer with Allison style buckets. Bobs machine foot throttle. 2 seats either is removable in seconds.
Fifty litre tank mounted just ahead of transom knees. Odessey battery mounted in billet bracket, comes with charger. Auto bilge pump. Interior in white gel.
Johnson 140 V4 crossflow on Bobs 5" convertible bracket, custom louvered STINGER GP hood. Custom 1998 pan with large rigging hoses. Pan has trim/tilt switch as well. POWER HEAD HAS ALL 9 PAGES MODS COMPLETED. 1 3/8 carbs, KR 15 light flywheel with titanium bolts. 2 sets of 317848/849 heads, one stock one set shaved. Chris Carson reeds with modified cages and stuffing blocks. Custom anodized coil brackets.
Poerhead adapter is 1977 V4 with desireable tuner ( uncut) TAYLOR MARINE MIDSECTION, with machined exhaust relief and custom clamp bracket, shimmed upper mount. Gearcase has a welded Mazco cone and LWP. CARRIER is pinned in 4 places. Custom lift plate on cav plate andcustom drag plate on bottomof setback bracket.
Trailer has new winch lights bearings and seals. Comes with cover.
Three perfect props with cases are included.
What has now been done to make a great rig perfect.
Trailer was painted. Seats now have upholstered bottoms, new 4 guage wiring, gearcase has new seals and pump, THE POWERHEHEAD WAS DISASSEMBLED, THE BLOCK MACHINED, REASSEMBLED, WITH NEW PISTONS AND RINGS. ALL WORK WAS DONE AT SPEEDMASTER MARINE. THE MOTOR HAS 2 HOURS ON IT. RUNS AWESOME. TED AT SPEEDMASTER ALSO SUGGESTED IT BE SWITCHED TO A 24 VOLT STARTING SYSTEM, WHICH IT HAS. Boat will run 81 to 83 depending on conditions.

Thanks for the kind words. The motor is much stronger than when I bought it. Most importantly it has been redone from gearcase seals to pistons. Motor has 2 hours on it. Speedmaster marine did the powerhead. The boat has many upgrades also. Trailer was repainted. Thanks

Just to clarify, I have had many inquiries. The motor had low compression on one cylinder when I bought it. I was not told that. The powerhead was disassembled the cylinders straightened and re assembled with new pistons and rings. Everything else was checked and found to be perfect. The gearcase leaked when I bought it and was not informed of this. I always check new stuff. Good thing run it for 30 minutes and checked, and found water. Gearcase was checked and only needed seals. Also changed the pump. No surprises for the new owner.

The v-4 runs great as so does the ported 175 hp we were just out last week and hope to take a run this weekend.GLWTS will make some one a great turn key boat. Hes been working on the vking now for 8 yrs and will be done this year or im putting my foot up his a$$ lol .He has a 175 hp merc for it or I have a 15inch 2.4 200 hp but think he wants to go 225 promax?
I may be slow but im ahead of you. *hit's only ankle deep but you went in head first.
