I see that you have typed your location as Southeast Georgia. I am wondering which city in Southeast Georgia you are located near. I have very little knowledge about the 15 foot long Allison hull. I am wondering if this boat that is shown will be sold commercially . Please send me a P.M. I am now building a home in Valdosta, Georgia. I would also like to know if this Allison is built in Georgia. Thanks !

beautiful! Interesting how he ran the Petty blue up and over the top of the "corvette wings" at the stern. The original layout had only a "cove" (like the early Vettes) with the white gel over the top of the wing.

that loop VV4 will be pretty heavy on the transom. Stock, they weighed 365 lbs., compared to 306 for a stock crossflow V4 and 273 for a stock 1500xs Merc. I run my 15' with 16" V4 with 25 lbs. of shot up under the deck and I weigh 225.

My Lord, that loop V4 will be more than enough to carry you and then some. My little cross V4 flies my 15' with almost neutral trim, 6 gallons of fuel about 8" behind my seat, the 25 lbs. of shot in the bow I mentioned, and a flat-rake 13-1/2"x27" OMC race cleaver. That boat will fly with a loop 140. When I was racing J-Production in the mid-1980s, I ran a stock CF V4 on a 16' Laser. On a long inboard hydro course with 3-pin turns, I ran a 14"x30" Mercury cleaver at 6400 rpm (around 80 mph on a long straight). A buddy John Riegor ran the same boat with the then-new 1986 Evinrude 140 looper V4. He was at least a mile or two faster than me on the straights, but I could out turn him because his engine was heavier and threw the stern of his boat around in turns.

Upyours, I'm sure you and Jack have spoken to Darris about this. I spoke to him a couple weeks ago and he went off about others using Allison molds or molds made from Allison boats (older ones no longer in production; he'd have the attorneys on you so fast if you ever made one from a boat currently in production or even an older one if he's even thinking of producing it again). He is adamant about not being able to call them "Allison" or "Allison Craft" unless his plant and his people make them. I understand that.
