Still some work to do. Very small hook in the pad area at the end of the pad. I think this is the reason I am either glued to the water or floating the hull in the air. I am going to get some P-17 and do a skim coat of filler on the last 3-5 foot of the pad and sharpen the edges in the next few weeks before FYNBAHR at the end of October on the St Croix/Mississippi River. So far with the 2.4 200, fat as all get out (80-82 jets), she was running 78.5 with a 28 chopper with a 2:1 case. I think once I get the jetting down I should pick up 500+ rpm and end up around 82-85 mph I suspect.

Happy to hear it preforms that well with a hook and poorly tuned engine, no offense. Gives me high hopes for my rig with a 2.0 175 on it when finished. Do you have a LWP and cone on that case?

haha, none taken Tony! Anyway, yes I have a conned lower on this and running the prop shaft about 1/4-1/2 inch under the pad. I need to get it up some, I think to even and see what happens, maybe even over the pad 1/4 inch. Not quite sure what it wants as i need to get that hook out first. That 175 is the same as I have on a stand in the garage, it came on this vking. It will get you to 75-80 if the boat is not too heavy once all the glass is done and the interior is in. I would plug the top 3-4 holes on the lower and open up the bottom holes, that way you can run the prop shaft as high as you can while still getting good water pressure, put a gauge in for water pressure, that is the only thing I have working! Tach was for a minute and then it died..... But once you get it done and the river comes down next spring we try to get out on the river in Champlin, MN every weekend in the mornings to run to the Coon Rapids dam and back
