Before I layed my floor in I spread resin on the under side of the floor where the stringers would touch and made some real thick resin and put that on top of the stringers so that it would bond to the floor when it was set in. Then set a bunch of weight on it for a couple of days

That's what I was thinking. I can put 2 layers of my 1708 on the stringers hull where the floor will read and weight it down. Then some glass over the whole floor and up the hull. Should be nice and stong

I had to really trim my stringers to fit the bottom of the hull and still be level on the top side so the floor would set good on the outter edges and set good all down the stringers also. I did it mostly by setting a board the full with across the hull where the plywood would sit and grind down the stringers untill the board sit on all 4 contact points

I was trying to get some glass cut up and ready to go up and over my stringers. I was thinking 2 layers of 12oz biax would be good. I would think one layer that will go over and down to the core on both stringers starting 10 inches out on both sides the stringers, and another layer on top of that starting 5 inches out on both sides of the stringers. I have 1708 already over the core and the stringers are bonded to the top of the 1708 that is on the core. I also have more 1708 and 6oz cloth if there is a different or more layers needed for over the stringers. Let me know!! I just figure 24 oz of biax over the strigners would be good. then i can bond the Floor to the top of the stringers.

Sounds very strong. 5'' pc 1st then the 10'' overlap pc. Cover the ends of the bi ply glass with some matt where it meets the hull. Wet mat strips on the bottom of the floor when installing work well for bonding floor to stringer. Weight or screw dn the floor till glass strips set up.

So when overlapping I want the shorter pc of glass under the longer one? Always though the longer should be under and shorter on top! haha. thanks!

Every exposed glass edge is a shear or tear point. Less edges showing, better strength, smoother lamination, less need for grinding. I never leave exposed edges on any woven glass. Finish with some 3/4 oz or so.

well, just board and was looking at ways to get my seats mounted to the floor still not in the boat! thinking of using inserts on a piece of plywood since i think i would like the seats very close to the floor if not on the floor. may have to make a little box but not very tall.

some progress, though i would be able to glass over the stingers and front crossmember but ran out of hardner. odd as i still have half a gallon out of the 4 gallons of resin epoxy. i guess the mini pumps do not measure 5 to 1 all the time!!!! but needless to say some progress is good

some more pics. I was wondering since i have 2 layers of 1708 on the out side of the stringers and one layer on the middle sides of the stringers. can i get by with just one layer of 12 oz biax over the top. see pick below. also, i would assume i dont have to go all the way to the bottom of the stringer since there is already 1708 over the the core on both sides that go up to the top of the stringer.
