    River rocket

Good friend of mine just bought a stv river rocket. The boat has a 15 inch transom on it 15 inch mid. Some one told me I need to get a jack plate for a 15 inch motor. Any difference on jack plate do you they even make jackplates for 15 inch or all they all the same thing

you dont need a special jack plate for a 15 in transom and a 15 inch mid. You need a special plate or at least 10" setback if you have a 15 inch mid and a 20 inch transom. He can bolt his 15" motor directly to the 15" transom no jack plate needed. The boat has a built in 19" of setback.

You don't need a Jack Plate at all !
If you do decide to run one , use as little offset , as possible .

Gotta watch bolting directly to the transom if the holes r drilled off a merc templet or off a little a cle will not have enough pressure...sporty will with 2 people up front.....also the stock setback isnt the same when u cut the transome down.....the 5 jack from hydrodynamics gives u the adjustment and does help performance.....maybe not topend #s

I'd like to see pics of that... Don't think it will work with only 4" of setback...
Could be wronge but would think if it did there would be Absolutly no trim cuz the
Cowling would be sittin right on the transome...
