Sea Star Steering Re-rig
I'm redoing my sea star steering. I want to change out the stock fittings on the front of the cylinder to the -6 stuff. Whats a good source for the fittings and whats the best way to get the hoses through the deck? I'd like to do it myself just for the fun of it. Randy does some nice stuff on the Liberators, I'd like to make something similar.

You can contact crankbearing also, he did an Hydrostream last week that looked awsome....

The Hoser on here. If you are using the Sea Star hoses and do not plan on changing them you need to stick with their fittings, -6 will not work!
What you can do is install a 1/4" inside thread bulkhead fitting use a staring Sea Star fitting inside the boat and a -6 outside, install you -6's on the ram and then get small hoses made to the ram with -6 on both ends.

-6 is the industry standard for sizing. -6 = 3/8" inside diameter hose and the fittings that are applicable to that size hose.

Hey TexasVector. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Do you have a parts list or something with the detail of each piece?

what i used:
2 - "NPT to AN" fittings from hoses to bulkhead fittings under deck (i didnt use teleflex hoses....i had mine made to length and they "ended" with NPT not compression fittings)
2 - bulkhead fittings ( go through the deck)
2 -stainlesss 18" brake lines (all though you could have hydro lines made....the stainless corrodes a lil)
2 -"AN to NPT" fittings connecting brake lines and cylinders ( i cant remember what size -6AN to 3/8" NPT???)
i picked up all my parts from a local race shop but they can all be found online with google.
sounds like HOSER on the board is the man to go to for any hose needs.81' HYDROSTREAM VECTOR / slightly Modified 200
