300xs compressor failure
Need some help from guys who have been through this.
I was expecting my compressor to fail from the odd sounds and this weekend bam.
Went of plain and the belt cut off..
Got a new belt started the motor and it was making a very bad sound coming through the compressor.
We tried to turn the compressor pulley and it's kind of hard to turn.
I still have not taken the compressor off will try to do so later on.
my questions are as follows.
Do you think that since I turned on the engine twice while having the compressor broken down I could have damaged the fuel lines air injectors and fuel injectors?
should I also Change the fuel line and injectors?
Do you suggest that I also change the spring of the Tensioner?
In my country I am kind of limited as to having professional help on this kind of motor.
And I would like to have some feedback to make sure I am doing a proper job.

There are some threads about Opti compressor failures in the low-emissions outboard engines forum.

Make sure none of the belt is in you intake. We had a compressor failure in the shop and there was belt material in the reeds. There is a new compressor out a couple of years ago which replaced the old one.

I have also had a couple that wore into the abs plastic covers and sucked that in as well, mainly on 2.5 opti but have a look. I just had a customer rebuild his I ordered him a reed plate and o-ring kit and it worked out fine. 300$ total in parts compared to ???

I Started taking everything apart.
Bought new black compressor hope this one is more reliable.
Took the fuel rails out for a ultrasonic clean, Fuel injectors out for a clean to.
Unfortunately air injectors have to stay in place as there is no one who could service them in my country.
Next steps take the air intake out and inspect the reeds.
Change 3 oil filters.
Hope fully later on will put everything back together and well see if where got to go.
If you think I'm forgetting something please let me know.
