    Tom:

If you used a good two part urethane paint you will be fine. I have shot a lot of boats with DuPont Imron thru the years and I swear they have held up fantastic. A friend of mine left one in the water for three months and not a bit of a blister anywhere.

this isn't my first rodeo using two part paint on boat hulls. No worries. Everybody has an opinion.

Nice work. What is an original late 60s missle worth in the condition yours was in before the resto.....and after (after a proper resto that is)? Been thinking about a project with my son and I know of a 69 Missle in need of resto near my house.

that's hard to say. This boat started out on Craigslist for over $2K and went unsold for several years. I doubt you will get the $$ back out of a full resto. Has to be fo rth elove of it to do it right.

I know where there are 2 more missles here in FLorida, both in need of some serious work but all there.

I restoed a 1976 MAGNUM MISSLE, 2.5 MERC offshore, the ride was priceless, nothing like reserecting the dead, and defeying the blow over blues...mine went 91mph, could of broke tripple digets with a 260, nothing like nastalgic hot-rods...can't belive MR DEMEANER went 94 mph in his 13' BIEL v/4 rocket...don't sell yourself short...the CLASSICS are here to stay...

Been a while since I posted. Lets just say painting a 45 year old deck has its own set of challenges. Paint is finally done. no pic yet. Hope to see how far off the deck and hull have grown in the last year apart.
