    1997 Evinrude Vindicator Problem

So my motor has just started doing this in the past few months. I crank it just fine with no problems. Run to the first fishing spot and fish for a while. After the motor sits for a while I try to crank it again...fires right up. I put it in gear and ease the throttle down..and it dies. It does this repeatedly 4-5 times and then it'll take off. Can anyone tell me how to approach this problem? It does have new carbon fiber reeds but it was doing it before they were installed.

I think that is vapor lock, or the bulb not holding pressure as mentioned above. Mine Eagle motor does that sometimes. If it gives me trouble I just let it idle in gear for a minute before I take off.

Leaking around the cap seal to tank on the VST. Pull the VST and use some Yamabond to seal the cap to tank....
