My daughter will soon be bugging me to get her Royalcraft out. I have the trailer torn apart doing a complete make over. We are also redoing the decals on the cowling for a closer color match and I need to add the registration numbers to the hull.

I have not tried for top speed yet. We were still working on getting it out of the hole. The 75 has high porting and is a dog until you can get the revs up but we should be sending the prop out soon to have relief holes drilled. The best all around prop we tried so far is a 4 blade 21. I have not tried any over the hub props yet since she needs more seat time in a v bottom before we go for speed but I have seen 47 with my fat ass so I would think she has hit 50

I would think we could get more speed but I don't want to see her get hurt. When I rebuilt the hull I reinforced the stringers, cored the entire back half up to the dash, added knee braces on the transom and the transom is double layer the entire way instead of just in the middle like it was so it is a bit heavier that it was plus the sundeck. She wanted comfort more than speed.

Playin boats had a really nice 15 ft,said it was designed by the guy at allison, and had a built 75evinrude on it. Might be some pics of it on here or hopefully he chimes in.
And Matt, did your boat have a 135 silver starflight evinrude on it? I missed smelling the resin when Stan and Butch were building them.

I have a lot of people barking at me with this thing, "Allison never built a bowrider" and "What you have there, boy, is an Allison copy or an Allison Craft, it aint a real Allison"

It reads Allison on the title, but I know that doesn't mean everything- I have a 1980 Cigarette 28 thats titled as a Magnum, and its absolutely not a Magnum.

My thoughts are that its an Allison, but if you read the HIN on the transom, maybe someone here can tell me. My wife loves it, so its getting a new interior and we'll keep it. It came down to this, or our 1988 Hydrostream Venus, I let her pick, and so we're selling the Venus and keeping this one.

Anybody ever seen another one? Thanks, Phil

Speaking of Allisons, anyone know where to get one of these?

I tried to get on the Allison forums, but they don't accept members with Yahoo or Gmail accounts. Which is about 98% of the population. I don't feel like paying for AOL again, so I guess I can't ever join.

Anyone who knows where to buy one like this, I'd really appreciate it. Just a glove box door with the Allison name on it.

    Thanks, Phil

    Very cool!
Did you just pick it up?? I was looking at one for sale in Ga. I think??
I really liked it but timing was off on my part.
    Very nice.
BTW, I just bought a 21' Checkmate open bow, probably for the same reasons.
