1995 Blazer 190 Pro V help
I just picked up a 95 blazer 190 pro v with s bad motor. I put a mariner 135 94 model and went and ran it yesterday, when I slow down it starts to porous a lot. My set up is 15" hydro dynamics rapid jack, lowered all the way down 2.125" below pad and running a 23 pitch laser 2. The hole shot wasn't bad and topped at 56-57mph at 6700rpm. I'm changing the prop to a 25 to lower rpm and get the mph up alittle. When running I had very little gear in and 40 gallons of fuel. Any help would be appreciated.

Try it. 15" is for big motors on bigger boats. ie: 20/21 bullets with tha 3.0's on 'em. Watch tha pressure. Movin' it in it might change some if ya keep tha same height.....Ya got nothin' ta lose tryin' it. Ask this question over on FB. Lotta Bullet/Blazer folks over there. Lotta BS ya gotta wade through too!

I'd get everything else under control first. You might not need it.........jmo

i talked to the previous owner he said with the 10" and the 135 all the way down it ran 6000rpm and 57mph. Now im running much higher rpm at the same speed. Did the 15" jackplate make that much difference? im new to all this jack plate stuff and want to boat setup to work the best. he had ran the 135 on the 10" then upgraded to a 2.4L 200 then went to the 15" he said it rode much better with the 15" then it did with the 10". he said it did porpus when slowing unless the trim was all the way down which i did not do, i left it trimmed up like i was still on plane.

Your trim was out/up to far for the speed you were traveling. You also were transitional on some hull device.

do you think just having the 15" jackplate on will cause the motor to increse the RPMs

Not really. Ya just gotta start playin with different things till you and tha boat are happy. Your "happy" and someone else's "happy" may be completely different.............Just part of it!

Tlwjkw is givin good advice. To much j/p for that boat. Normal is 6" some like 8" depending on load and motor. 135 is a we bit small but will do when propped properly
Laser 1550 ...under construction with a serious weight loss
Motor 2.4....undecided on hp yet
