Look'n good Ken!!! So glad you were able to make it. Lets do this again soon. I'll see if I can get something that runs more than a few laps next time.

Quick shot of me in the Molinari at the end...and you have to love the footage of Bill Edwards and his Chrysler/E&T in the early part of your run...Really good coverage on JWT's Allison, and a perspective on how short the straightaways are in Tavares.

    thanks for posting....

Awesome video Ken, gives me an idea of what it is like on the course. As Rich says it so cool seeing Bill Edwards screech by with the pedal to the fiberglass. Nice shots of you and JT running together.

We used to race at Tavares every Feb. It was usually cold,(sometimes around freezing) and the course was much longer. This made for much higher speeds than you are seeing there today.

I enjoyed the video XSkid, thanks!

Is that Tavares, Florida? If so is that lake Eustis, Dora or Harris? Are there any vintage events planned or scheduled in the Midwest?

This event should be held in February. Then everyone could get a sense of how it was racing at Tavares in the " Grapefruit Circuit" days. Often times the only people not in their cars with the heaters running were the drivers and race officials. My wife called it the "drive-in boat races". In spite of the cold the racing was great. Boats from all over the country showed up in many classes. Just about every Stock Outboard, Alky and OPC class was run. I saw some of the best run at Tavares and I am sure glad to have raced there a few times. On second thought maybe February is not such a good idea anymore.
