    SmartCraft Digital Gauges

Recently purchased an 18' flats boat with Mercury Pro XS power. I have two smart craft digital gauges, a speedo and tach. The gauges are not foggy, however the digital "bar" is dark, and completely illegible on the tach, the speedo is tough to see, yet still legible. My thought is possible moisture in the digitizer. Anybody else have this problem or heard of it? Any way to possibly fix the gauge without replacing? Thanks for looking.

Looks sunburnt. But contrast is worth a try. It's in quick set, mode + for a few then -+ to adjust. If not

looks like it's on water or oil temp currently

    Unit replacement

Thanks for the suggestion, did a little further research and you are correct, the LCD is "burnt" and cannot be fixed. Contrast was a good idea, and surely worth a try however it made no difference on this gauge. I appreciate the reply, looks like a new gauge is in my future, thanks again -FlatsFury
