Cant wait to see the finished outcome. Looks great. Re-doing mine so all the pics are helping. If you don't mind me asking why didn't you rip out all the fiberglass going up to the side walls.

Got the Viking flipped over and up in the air today to make it easier to work on the bottom of the hull and on the inside top of the rear deck. Because none of the costom rear deck is glassed onto from the INSIDE of the boat yet. Setting like this upside down it is tremendously easier to get to and lay lay down some glass and resin.

Shot some paint on it saterday and last nite. Poor conditions for panting but oh well.. its what i got. Some fine sanding then a couple coats of clear will make it better.

The paint is clear but i mixed in some COPPERHEAD FIRE chameleon pearl. The whole thing is all one mix but it changes color with the diffrent angle ya look at it.i aint. Ever sprayed a boat before so this is a learning curve for me. Up close shows it too.. i need to learn to buff in the near future.

Looking for openions on where to glass in a flat spot to mount a Hot Foot? I left out the flat bulkhead under the bow. Right side steering. If i mount it on the right side it will be way up the side of the hull and seems it will be uncomfortable with leg being almost ztrait out. Wondering about mounting it dead center in the very bottom of the V so left foot would be for the Hot Foot? The leg would then be bent down at a much better angle.
    Thoughts??

I have seen left foot operations on the hot foot, but that would be weird for me. Sounds like your going with right side steering, I would angle the seat a little to the left and put it where it is comfy. They are not too bad once your in there driving on the right side, but need to make sure its right for you first.

I put my hot foot on the left, outside of the console area. I have no regrets, if I had a right leg I just don't see where you could be comfortable with the limited amount of room under this old 1977 dash. SSTom drove my boat a couple times and said after a minute of using it was almost as natural as using his right foot. Haven't had anyone trip over it or anything to complain about.

Went ahead and glassed in a piece of 12 ply 3/4" plywood on the right side. And rolled gelcoat on the floor and sides and all under the bow. I rolled it on with a regular paint roller first then for the 2ed coat i used a very corse roller to make a bit of texture on the floor for traction when wet. The small amount of brown pigment from US Composites sure does go far. After rolling it on im happy with the way the texture came out.
