Took me best part of a morning to fernagle the propellor. First attempt was a bit agricultural so i binned it immediately.
Second attempt proved better. Had an old chunk of Burmese Teak that was too small to make anything out of . Enough left to do four more props .
Has beautiful figuring and the grain goes with the shape well.
Blowed if i didn’t just pick up a light plane nacelle from the scrapyard, never been used . I will think of a use for it one day, but not right now .just a few minor parts —ie ; the wind breakers for the pilot and the decals —I’d numbers . Getting close though . SPOTTY MULDOON would like it though . He would have been 121 next week.

Had a long easy day Sunday. Polished up the aircraft nacelle , then set to work on the D-TYPE JAGUAR KNOCK ON WHEEL NUT . Half the chrome had long gone and the wings were well battered from many hammering with a heavy copper hammer . Favourite weapon of the pit crew . Was cast out of solid brass -or phosphor bronze —- came up like burnished gold . You can actually see me taking a picture of it in the reflection. Do not have any provenience whatsoever . Bought it at the car boot sale , guy told me it was owned by a man called JACK CUNNINGHAM who once owned a D-TYPE JAG .
Trouble is-folk at car boot sales have wilder imaginations than i ever did.
Sold a lot of my surplus machinery —-continual stream of buyers —- might find enough room to actually get back to work.

After the events of the last few years —- the friends i had —-terrible things happen to young—middle age and old aged people .
I do my damndest to keep active without running out of breath using ALL my energy jogging .
I keep my mind active reading—crossword puzzles—-remembering all the things i think i have forgotten.
Arthritis is a worry, so i work my hands until cramp locks the fingers .
I have watched friends who had far too much alcohol—it gets the better of you in the end.
I know Friends and relations who have suffered the dreaded dementia.
People ask me why i work such long hours at the tender age of 89– i simply cannot be arsed to answer
After boating golf played a large part in my life —then it got so i wasn’t enjoying it that much any more . So i started fernagling concepts — made a few respectable pieces ——found out i was enjoying it .
Moved house and constructed SUPERSHED. Furnished with every bit of machinery i ever wanted and more besides .
Was really looking forward to the 50th HAVASU REUNION and the Tavares old farts meet —- but the world situation at the moment looks like I’m not going to make it .
you just have to roll as the punches come —step sideways —-duck and dive —- just dont let them land —that way you get to live to fight another day.

Sometimes in life -things don‘t go exactly to plan —this was one of those occasions !
moment of a lapse in concentration can be a tad inconvenient. Unfortunately i cut clean through a vein result was quite spectacular though i do not recommend anyone to try it .
Had the stitches out yesterday—last bank holiday Monday before Christmas . A+E was deserted — amazing how nobody is injured or seeking medical care during the holidays ?
