Oh I’m sure i will be Pilgrim—-you can’t keep a good man down.
must confess to being a tad disappointed with myself. Don’t like to think it’s an age related thing,, more a lapse in concentration when i was hustling. A bit like clearing the table whilst carrying far too much cutlery and crockery and a fork falls on the floor???
found a tin plate World War One bi-plane. It’s called TRENCH ART—- reminded me of MIKE BUTLER for some strange reason.
By 9-00 am i had already spun up the fuselage of a solid alloy 12 inch bi-plane when the incident occurred . But it still might happen ——-BUTLER KNICKERWETTING SPECIAL ??????

Growing up in Florida, I only remember one three-wheeled motorized vehicle on the streets. And it was a policeman’s motor bike in Gainesville.
Then as a teenager I saw some (very few and I did not know it at the time) Piaggio Ape in Italy. Later in life my girlfriend (at the time) and I rode in Tuk Tuks in Thailand whilst on vacation.
After just watching an episode of Wheeler Dealers TV show, I learned some of the older Piaggio Ape have become collector items. Now reflecting back on the past, the things at the time we took as novelty vehicles, are now worth more money than when they were new to certain collectors. Who knew?

Jackie will any of these models make it into the grasp of your fabricating hands?

...these trikes were the hot ticket from the early seventies on, for a number of years, until they outlawed them for injuring & killing too many riders...

My dad had one (do not recall the make/model) when he lived in Tennessee. I was not impressed with the handling. When they first became popular in the states, young people not old enough to drive on the streets gravitated to them. And I could envision guys out in the wooded area, going fast and getting airborne with those balloon tires.
And I think that was the problem, hit a bump and the tires will spring launch the guy & vehicle into the air, and then tragedy. They would lose control in air or landing, and the 3 Wheeler would land on them.
