This was a photo of my great grandchildren—-of course there‘s been another two since this was taken in 2018. had enough grandkids to make up my own football team—- and a junior team with the great grandkids [plus a few reserves]. How did that happen ???????
NO— i am not a Roman-Catholic——and yes we did have a television .

Brenda had a great innings — we were actually married for 38 years —- had five kids —- eleven grandkids and 15 great grandchildren. She died aged 88 with two of her daughters at the bedside .
Hit particularly hard was my son Mark, who lost his wife to the same illness just a matter of weeks ago. Thanks for the thoughts Pilgrim.

those kids mums and dads were some of the feistiest kids ever to draw breath—- i used to wrestle on the lounge floor with nine of them at any one time . Brenda always said the same thing every day
„“IT‘S ALL GOING TO END IN TEARS“ which it invariably did. Then they all came back for more .
Proud to say not one of them ever got into trouble with the law —- nor got into drugs or narcotics. Most of them can drink me under the table, plus there‘s a couple that think i dont know about the SPIFFS !!!!!!!!!
HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF MY FIVE KIDS.
MY GRANDKIDS HAVE ALSO DONE ME PROUD .
I‘m quite sure my great grandkids will do exactly the same .
Grandma died yesterday—- its the cycle of life —- old life withers and dies ——- new growth comes along and flourishes , it just is.

    Another day another dollar !!!!!!!
all three MERT‘S are waiting for the graphics —- done all i can do until my son in law „“LITTLE JEFF“ comes up with the goods . He‘s a graphics artist —-typesetter and printer of the highest order. Did all the graphics for DRY MARTINI—- KEIKHAEFER 111——EMBASSY and just about everything else i ever did . He‘s the one that makes me look good .
decided to crack on with Gene‘s turbo MALIBUSTANG— more complicated than i first thought . Did the nosecone and cut out the props now i have to do the tailplane . Roughed out the fuselage - Wing should not be a problem. WILL POST A PROGRESS PICCY LATER IN THE DAY.
funnily enough — the over 80‘s also THINK a lot,—- keep busy—keep the mind active and the fingers nimble , if this leads to a lack of physical exercise and a couple of inches on the waistline —-so be it.

Trouble with making a concept of any aircraft is the fact that people like Gene Langham and Mike Butler actually have their own airplanes . It had better be more than just a tad acceptable or you can be on the wrong end of a right royal coating .
I can claim the fifth by claiming its a Malibu with a turbo upgrade and other bits i can claim as artists licence —- if you think the tailplane is a touch oversize —tough titty —get over yourself.
only reason i showed a couple of progress piccy‘s is because i said i would —-there will not be anymore until the jobs done .
It’s a beautiful chunk of wood but its of little consequence— never heard of a wooden piper — most are base white with preferences , which is how this will wind up.
Hope to god Butler doesn’t get ambitious—- he has a very antique sopwith camel type aircraft and five will get you ten he‘ll be PICKY.

I know Johnno— but it was a lot easier to make a spokeshave sing than grind away a chunk of alloy

Paint the wings and tail if you must, but leave the fuselage natural.

wouldnt the v12 Merc outboard make a nice plane engine with its narrow profile?

Afraid i‘m not the one to answer that particular question Pilgrim. Try Gene Langham or Mike Butler

Fuselage with a few bits on it—- just polished it —- ‚tis a nice chunk of timber !
pondering whether or not to put windows in it. It’s a right royal pain in the arse but then again, what else would i be doing third Friday in July anyway?????????
