Amazing to me how a footballer who can command £350,000 per week can’t score a penalty ??/
It‘s not rocket science— put a keeper between the sticks —- a football , 11metres [12yards] in front of him. Opponent runs up to the ball——-kicks it past the keeper and into the net——SIMPLES ????
not one , but three of the buggers missed!
Weekly Wages bill for the three collectively is ONE MILLION POUNDS STERLING. I wouldn‘t pay ‚em in penny washers !!!!!!!!!!
I dont think i am being unreasonable to have expected more ??
Fact is— we had our best players left on the bench. Southgate called it wrong. brilliant squad, just mismanaged. What a dingleberry.

There is a huge celebration being prepared for my 90th at the AVISFORD HILTON HOTEL. In January. Was hoping to get away it without any fuss and bother , but now it looks like i can run but can’t hide . Don’t think you’re going to get away with it either ——— no chance —- you have to face it like a man. Bahamas 500 is preferable to being hauled through the wringer in a 90th birthday bash. That’s the beauty of having my birthday after you, - you can tell me all about it !!!!!!

Two days later--still trying to sort it out Jackie---So many well wishes from England!!

Had a steller day yesterday, as i do only sometimes !!!
Was determined to crack on with the „“THREE MERTS“ —— EACH ONE IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!
Started with one then decided i“ could do better“.
Then i thought i could do betteR STILL - hence the three renditions of the same concept.
GOOD—-FECKIN GOOD —- AND ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.
Should get them done by the weekend——- if i do, i will post a piccy or two.
My particular favourite is the one in the trailer. From original pictures that show BILL ALLEN yanking the starter cord while standing in the garden shed on wheels —-that housed the MERT!!!
Just had to do a simple triple axle —- all aluminium box trailer, [just to show how little Mercury spent on their fleet of trailers]. PLUS I KNOW IT WILL MAKE BUTLER CHUCKLE !!!
