Well, i have to tell you Johnno, even i had another invite to join BOAT RACING FACTS from Mr. Signature himself. But seeing as how I’ve been on there for years —- i declined .
I COULD have had another good day on the „“MERT“.
Nothing on this weekend, so i might make good inroads into the project.

Last year a Merc/OMC driver told me (to my surprise) that he did not think highly of J.M. on the way Jim treated him when he was a Merc driver.

MISS GEICO IS ALREADY OVER TWENTY YEARS OLD ANYWAY—- THEY JUST DONT MAKE ‚EM LIKE THEY USED TO !!!!!!!! Plenty of life left in the old girl yet. Might have been a MYSTIC if memory serves me right —— dont take any notice of me —-memory‘s shot anyway.

Happy with the weekends efforts. Travelled a lot further down „“MERT‘S“ road than anticipated . All the easy bits were done , just a bunch of difficult stuff, ie, gearcase, steering bars, rear cowling and exhaust pipes , the never ending stuff that you sweat over —— then chuck it in the bin ‚‘cos it‘s not up to muster. Another day, start all over again until you get it right .
This damn thing has to be so feckin right, or im in deep KA-KA. I do do have three of them on the go at once, in the hope i get at least one of ‘em right.
No more piccies ‘till i have something tangible to show.
As my sainted mother used to say “SON—-YOURE ALL MOUTH AND TROUSERS”——- thats when i knew i had better pull my socks up.
My flat nose and cauliflower ears —— along with the red arse , are all a direct result of my sainted mothers version of essential child welfare. I don’t necessarily agree. But coming up 90 and i never spent a day in jail , nor have i ever been arrested . Main reason for this is the simple fact that i could outsprint any copper and i was never caught.
