Just shows the state of the union !!!!!
Went to an up market restaurant for lunch yesterday. Mainly because i could, wished i hadn’t bothered . Full house of over 100 packed into a pseudo medieval barn ,— eating overpriced - very ordinary —- piss poorly prepared fodder —- took out the hearing aid in the end . Sounded like a murder of crows or a murmuration of starlings coming from the assembled diners !!! Add to that the torrential downpour , both coming and going —— wasn’t exactly thrilled with the days efforts!!!
Funnily enough i have gotten used to home cooking—- and at a tenth of the price .
So, we are out of lockdown—— jolly hockey sticks !!!
Can i fly to the states —-NO—— Portugal is about the only destination —- but watch out for the quarantine rules and isolation AND COST. Upon returning.
Things ain’t wot they used ter be !!!!!!!
Think i might just stay home and straighten up SUPERSHED in the immediate future >Last edited by jackiewilson; 05-19-2021 at 12:19 PM. Reason: Error

GENE. ———- In the game of life —you Just never know what hand you will be dealt —- its what you do WITH the chance that decides who and what you become. [ me myself] .
All i ever wanted as a teenager was a motorbike —— was hauled off my first ride by my father , who just happened to be driving by in the family van, smartly belted round the ears until they rang and threatened with a fate worse than death if he ever caught me riding a motorcycle again until i was sixteen !!!!!!!!!!

VERY similar to my first motorbike —— except mine had a STEIB Bullet sidecar—- bought it in 1947 . Guy wanted Ł45. For the lot. In the end i gave him my WHITTAKER AND MAPPLEBECK racing bike and Ł15 .told him to keep the sidecar !!!! Still think he got the deal of a lifetime ??????
Guy had the fish and chip shop at the bottom of girlington road . We used to get chucked out of the YOUTH CLUB at 10-00pm —- then it was either the pie and pea shop —- or fish and chips. Bike was always parked outside . Memories ????????

Eric and Jackie - different sides of the same Quid.
Eric Clapton feared he would 'never play again' after 'disastrous' time with vaccine
“About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ (AstraZeneca) shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers,” he continued. “Needless to say the reactions were disastrous, my hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks, I feared I would never play again, (I suffer with peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle.) But the propaganda said the vaccine was safe for everyone....” said Eric Clapton

Its also got a lot later sterndrive than the HI-PERF picture—
Boat looks like an old KT design——- LEMBSKE’S SEEBOLD “SASQUATCH” is a lot shallower than the 39 boat. Boat looks to have an old rocker style , but that could optical. [in my humble opinion].
Afraid i haven’t come across that particular craft before——- DINO PIACCI sounds very Italian to me , if i hadn’t heard the name , i might have thought the rig was AUSTRALIAN——they are very good at stitching hot motors into tunnels. [and vee bottoms].

Gene is your Front Right Tire on your Midget (I think that is what that class is called) larger/wider than the inside front tire?
It looks to be almost the same size as the back tire (or its an optical illusion for me).
~~~
A lot of circuit boat race courses are left-hand turns.
So why does not some tunnel boats have a wider starboard sponson (then the port-side sponson)?
It would help keep the boat from leaning less in a left-handed turn, and probably less prone to barrel-rolling.
Gene why did you chose Boating Racing over Car Racing?
Were you influenced by your uncle Lee and his brother Troy?
Also in the race car photo, the tall lever mounted on your left side what is that used for?
Braking or engaging the transmission, or is it to adjust the chassis roll-bar, those are some of my novice wild guesses.
