I do have some pictures somewhere of my eldest daughter Sandra and me on the two snowmobiles outside the house at the garage in Southwater. Shows there was plenty of snow tha year 70/71. Trouble is , im damned if i can find the picture.
Sandra was a qualified nurse a Masseuse and a reflexology doctor. She would often take her table to race meetings in Italy—-drivers would queue just to have their aches and pains seen to.
Como—Milan Idroscala— Campioni she was well liked by everyone especially Buzzi.

Oh dear , oh dear, oh dear, that is typical american —- how can it be any good unless its “hucking fuge”. After working in a 16 x 8 converted garage for the last four years , to me at least, 16 x 12 is a supershed !!!! Will also be 18 feet at the top left hand corner , due to the irregular space supershed will be situated. Will be up and running by the 14th april, so i can show you the finished article in the not too distant future. Believe me when i tell you tech-team. To me a 16 x 12 is a supershed!!!!

Been one of those days, lot of effort for very little return. Five and ten quidsworth. It’s still to pack and post same as a couple of hundred quidsworth.
So i bought another bandsaw . Just have to get it picked up , its the other side of Stanstead airport, which is real pain in the arse to get to.
Then i had a mad fit of depression and bought a 30 year old TRIUMPH TRIDENT TRIPLE 900 CC !!!! Last time i rode a motorbike was in Thailand twenty years ago. !!!!
Why did i buy it ???? Answer ——— why do you boat race or climb mountains —- simples —- because i wanted to and because i could ... what the hell am i going to do with ???? I have no idea. Once i know, ill tell you.

Foraging at the scrapyard Saturday morning, came across a chewed, spit and trod on , really NAFF table lamp . Had a tatty old wooden base , split from backside to breakfast time . A pair of lights on the inside and a Bakelite , broken bulb holder on the top.
Not a lot going for it really —- picked it up, was surprised just how heavy it was. Had to be cast brass . Had been heavily lacquered long ago, but due to misuse , abuse and general kicking about , poor thing looked really sorry for itself. Picked it out of the melting bin and it stuck into the weighing bag along with a Viking helmet and some other dross i knew i was never going to use. Threw into the back of the trusty Lexus and headed home.
Emptied the scrap sack on to the workbench and slowly dismantled the old lamp. Chucked away the old wood base and the two light bulbs, chopped out the wring and laid all the bits out . Let the old grey cells loose and what do we have here ? THE ELMER LIGHT !!!!!
Now you have to know that the only lighthouse there has ever been at ELMER , is the one the old grey cells have conjured. {same as the CATHEDRAL AT BOUZIGUES}.
But daughter Sam lives on the beach at ELMER , so suddenly , it has a lighthouse.
Made up of seven pieces of cast brass , stands fifteen inches tall, but begs for some TLC.
Four hours later , i have fernagled a new base , out of an old aluminium round casting, polished out all traces of the lacquer . Got rid of the scratch marks and lined up all the bits. .
There you see it , fully assembled but with no lighting. Think i could get away with a couple of LED lights inside if i really tried hard ???
went to find my engraver so i could engrave „THE ELMER LIGHT“ on the outside , guess what, can’t find the engraver !!!!!!
That’s where im at right now. In the middle of clearing out the shop, i do a stupid thing like that. Then later today, i have another two speed bandsaw arriving!!! Why does. „“hole in the head“ come to mind.
COVID called , told him to bugger off as i didn’t have time . Far too much going on in my life for any of that old rubbish.
